I grew up in suburban Cincinnati, OH with my parents and younger sister Libby. Some of my parents’ job changes led to stints in both Germany as a kid and Chicago as a teenager. I learned the value of hard work at a young age, working at a local hardware store in high school and running my own shipping and storage business with some friends in college.

In 2016, I commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. My first duty station was in the California desert, where I led platoons of cannoneers, fire controlmen, radio operators, and truck drivers as an artillery officer. There I discovered that cannons have come a long way since pirate ships, that the desert does in fact get very cold at night, and that real leadership means setting a positive example and making hard decisions in challenging times.

Despite originally planning on exiting the Marine Corps and applying to medical school in 2020, that year I took a unique opportunity to move to Raleigh, NC and serve at a Marine Corps Recruiting Station. Although it was a demanding tour as all of military recruiting recovered from the restrictions imposed by COVID, it was a life-changing three years that ultimately inspired my desire to lead a small business. As a true believer in the power of military service to change lives for the better, I was proud to assist hundreds of young men and women on their journeys to become a Marine.

After leaving the service in 2023, I pivoted back to school and earned my MBA at Harvard Business School while concentrating in entrepreneurship and small business operations. I have grown to love the Boston area (my dad’s ancestral home) and plan to remain in New England to work and raise a family. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with family and friends and rooting for the Carolina Hurricanes (apologies to the B’s fans).
